About Us

The Peninsula Yacht Club is a wonderfully diverse group of people who hang out together at our club house at Docktown in Redwood City, California where Redwood Creek meets the Bay. The building is readily identified by the blue water tower above it, emblazed with our club flag.

Our members includes sailors, power boaters, floating homeowners and individuals between boats with an interest in boating, as well as an assortment of musicians, writers, artists, and other opinionated iconoclasts. We also have some regular cruising members.

Our regular activities include: Friday night dinners, monthly theme parties, and muscial events; participation in South Bay Opening Day and North Bay Opening Day each year, the Annual South Bay Lighted Boat Parade, and cruise-outs and raft-ups around the San Francisco Bay, as well as the coast to other clubs; and, cruise-ins from other clubs.
We’ve also been known to plan a drive out or two each year – especially to the Isleton Crawdad Festival in June and the Delta Fourth of July week. Have a look at the calendar of events on this website.

We are a community-oriented club and participate annually in the Coastal Clean Up program, Redwood City Pride and Beautification, Bair Island Project, and other green activities. We are also concerned about changes in laws and rules and regulations affecting boating and waterways throughout California, and a member of Pacific Interclub Yachting Association (PICYA)
Dropping in on Friday evenings for dinner is a great way to get acquainted. Give us a call at 650.369.4410 to get the menu and let us know you are coming.
